Born in Buenos Aires, Marcela studied first of all with Ana Gelber, then was coached by Bruno Leonardo Gelber, who became her mentor. She plays with the Philharmonic Orchestras of Buenos Aires, Florida, Dortmund and Montpellier, and the Bohemian Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic. In 2000 Marcela Roggeri gave a memorable concert with the Brazilian pianist Marcelo Bratke at the Wigmore Hall in London. In January, 2006 Marcela received the The International Revelation Of the Year Award by Victoires de la Musique Classique. Marcela now lives in London and gives regular recitals and orchestral or chamber concerts in Europe as well as in North and South America. Her repertoire ranges from Mozart to John Cage, from Shostakovich to Copland, not forgetting the composers from the continent of her childhood: Heitor Villa-Lobos, Alberto Ginastera, and Astor Piazzolla.
